High Lodge is a beautiful riverside farm in Abingdon, Oxfordshire running family friendly seasonal events for thousands of visitors each year.
We are four sisters who are passionate about farming and connecting children to the British countryside. Our aim is to provide farm-themed outdoor fun that will leave your little ones with rosy cheeks and happy memories.

Bale Play in the Barn
A brand-new, undercover adventure for children of all ages is launching in February 2026! For one exciting week only, the beloved Big Bale Play is moving indoors, transforming the barn into a giant playground of straw-filled fun. The barn will be buzzing with energy, whatever the weather. The event includes a dedicated under 5s area.

Follow the flock to High Lodge for our action-packed sheep-themed trail. Seek out our 10 baa-lliantly decorated sheep and hop, skip and jump to explore our games, farm tractor, bales and food and drink. This event has ended and will return in 2026

Big Bale Play
Scramble, jump, climb - our Big Bale Play pop-up playground will return during May half-term 2026. Wear your little ones (and big ones) out with our huge straw bale maze. Don’t forget to treat yourself to a coffee, cake and Mr Whippy ice cream on the way home!

Pitch up and relax in the great outdoors at our family and dog friendly pop-up campsite overlooking historic Abingdon. With views that are spectacular at sunset, we also have spacious pitches, a games area, fire-pits for hire and hot and cold outdoor showers.

Our enchanting spooky trail and pumpkin patch is back this autumn! Warty ones, wrinkly ones, white ones, we will have thousands of pumpkins of all shapes and sizes, plus a fantastic woodland trail, activity sheet, games, mud mountain, barrel train rides and more!

Pumpkin Nights
Prefer the witching hours? Our Pumpkin Nights evening sessions are for those who prefer to pick their pumpkin by moonlight. Ideal for older children (and adults who need a drink to enjoy the 'spirits'). Exactly the same as our day event, but by torchlight!

We've been coming every year since our smalls were tiny babies. They are all just turning 6! We love how it is evolving at High Lodge and we always have a great time. We will continue to come every season, thank you High Lodge for continuing to be one of very few affordable days out.
